The Beaufort

Designed in 1768 for the 5th Duke of Beaufort, this finely executed mantel was once a part of the dining room at 5 Grosvenor Square, London. The Duke was married to Elizabeth Boscawen, whose father had earlier engaged Adam for projects at Hatchlands in Surrey.
