An imposing mid 18th century mantelpiece in statuary marble with inlaid panels of convent Siena marble to the pilasters overlaid with statuary carving and terminating in corbels supporting a breakfront shelf. The frieze with a finely carved central tablet of oval form flanked by Siena panels.
