An important mid 18th century mantelpiece in the manner of John Rysbrack (1694 – 1770) displaying profuse high relief carving of exceptional quality with a ram’s head central to the frieze flanked by scrolling acanthus leaves and jambs headed by simple corbels above fruit and foliage flowing from an inverted scallop shell.
