An unusual, elegant and beautifully proportioned early 19th century chimneypiece in richly figured Italian Portoro marble in the style of Sir John Soane with fluted pilasters terminating in elliptical carved paterae and the frieze with a central tablet carved with three rosettes beneath a plain mantel shelf with bed mould.
