Dudley Reed is a photographer who relies on his eye, his intuition, and the light.

No retouching.
No digital shortcuts.
No Photoshop.
Just his trademark anarchic wit and humor.

Born in London, he studied art and photography at Guildford College of Art, and film at The London Film School.

He began his career at Tatler in 1980, doing party pictures in a borrowed tux, then on to The London Times, The New York Times, The LA Times, Vanity Fair and Vogue. He started working for the New Yorker in 1996 and continued shooting artists, actors, celebrities, musicians, princes, dignitaries, and luminaries. Now based in New York City, he’s working on personal projects and a series of books.

Reed’s work is in the permanent collection of The National Portrait Gallery, London, and in numerous private collections in Europe and the United States.
