A tough limestone with a smooth creamy appearance quarried in the mountains of Porto Mos in Portugal. Available in large size blocks.
An Italian limestone from the quarries of Vicenza, very good for profiling and carving. Available in medium to large size blocks.
A Turkish limestone from the mountains of Limyra, very good for profiling and carving. Available in large size blocks.
An English limestone from the Hartham Park quarries near Bath in England, very good for profiling and carving. Available in medium size blocks.
A Portuguese limestone from the district of Alcanede, very good for profiling and carving. Available in medium size blocks.
A warm grey limestone with white veining. Available in medium to large size blocks.
A lustrous, black Belgian limestone. Available in medium size blocks.
A highly prized dense white marble ideally suited for fine sculptural and architectural work. Available in medium to large blocks.
Volakas marble has a pristine white base colour relieved by attractive soft grey veining. It bears a very close resemblance to veined white Carrara marble. It is quarried in the mountains north of the town of Drama in Thessalonica, Northern Greece.
Quarried in the province of Valencia, Spain, this marble has finely streaked elements of variable colour ranging from brown to beige. Available in medium to large blocks.
A predominately black marble with white veining, excellent for profiling. Available in medium to large size blocks.
A grey marble with veining extracted from the Polvaccio or Michelangelo quarries in Carrara in Northern Italy.
These are the materials that we work in and they are naturally beautiful. But please remember that every block of stone or marble is unique and these images are only intended as a guide to the appearance of the material in question. From time to time some of the rarer marbles may not be available from the quarry so supply cannot always be guaranteed.
