The Walmer chimneypiece is modelled on the fireplace in the entrance hall to Walmer Castle, a country house modelled from a military fortification originally constructed in 1540.
The Walmer is carved in Italian Arabescato marble and is shown with the Kenwood II fire basket from The English heritage Collection.
